Estates, cellars, producers — and the wines that define this valley.
Explore LIVIN'DOUROWine in the Douro
The Douro Valley produces some of the most distinctive wines in Portugal — from aged ports matured in riverside lodges to still wines made in small quantities by family producers. The range is broad, the quality is high, and most of it never reaches conventional distribution.
A private wine experience in the Douro is structured around the properties themselves — their cellars, vineyards and the people who make the wine. Each visit is arranged directly with the estate.
This is wine at its source — not a tasting menu.
What the Day Includes
Entry to working cellars where wine is aged, blended and stored — including properties that do not offer public visits.
Guided access to terraced vineyards, with context on grape varieties, altitude, soil composition and harvest cycles.
Seated tastings led by winemakers or estate directors — covering current vintages, reserves and, where available, older library wines.
Lunch prepared on the property, paired with wines produced on-site — arranged in coordination with estate kitchens or local chefs.
Wine Access in Practice
Many of the Douro's most respected producers operate on a small scale. They do not advertise, do not list on booking platforms and receive visitors only through personal contact. Reaching them requires knowing who they are and having an existing relationship.
This is handled by a team that works with these estates on a continuous basis — not on a per-booking basis.
All wine-related coordination in the Douro is managed through a dedicated regional team.
LIVIN'DOURO works directly with estates, cellars and producers — handling all arrangements from tastings to vineyard access.
